Alex Malloy: Employee Spotlight
Social media goes beyond the algorithm these days, and social media community manager Alex Malloy is here to help clients break it down.
Summer is almost over and fall is just around the corner, but don’t let that stop you from heading out for a few last minute adventures! Earlier this summer, we teamed up with Clear Creek County Tourism Bureau to help create the “Adventure Guide”, an online itinerary builder for activities in Clear Creek County. The Adventure Guide is a fun and easy-to-use tool that can help visitors, newcomers, and even the most seasoned of Colorado natives find something new and exciting to do in Clear Creek County.
Having previously worked with the Clear Creek County Tourism Bureau on their interactive map, we understood their goals and challenges of trying to attract and keep visitors within the county. Clear Creek County has many of the same amenities and features as other mountain towns, but needed a way to help bring awareness to new and returning visitors. Utilizing a grant from the Colorado Tourism Office, the Clear Creek County Tourism Board was able to fund the project to build an online itinerary builder that would help connect visitors to the many attractions and food options that Clear Creek County has to offer.
From a UX design perspective, we created an experience that’s fast and intuitive, and quickly yields interesting results. We utilized a mobile-first UI design to ensure the itinerary experience was fun, super mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate while on the road. The itinerary builder asks five simple questions that will help you find food and activities, whether you’re stopping by for a few hours or staying for a few days. We interviewed a few users of the itinerary builder, and they were pleasantly surprised about the results, many of which were even unfamiliar to Colorado natives. Once you receive your itinerary, you can email it to yourself, or share it with the world through social media.
We loved partnering again with the Clear Creek County Tourism Bureau and using UX / UI design to help solve their problem. We made a fun and purposeful app that helps visitors and supports our client. Interested in seeing how we can solve your business problems? Contact us today!
