Creative Mornings comes to Denver
Denver recently joined a list of 67 international cities as a host for CREATIVE MORNINGS. First launched in NYC in 2008, as a way to connect local creative communities, Creative Mornings is a morning lecture series conceived by Swiss designer Tina Roth Eisenberg, creator of the design blog and studio Swissmiss. (For inspiration, check out Tina’s SXSW 2013 keynote which some of us KHers attended.)
Creative mornings is a monthly event consisting of a free breakfast, 20-minute talk and Q&A, hosted at a sponsored venue and produced locally by a group of volunteers with the support of corporate sponsors. You can think of it as a more intimate, casual TEDx-type event featuring designers, inventors, entrepreneurs and provocative discussion.
Denver’s inaugural event on December 6th was a sell-out. February’s event is this Friday, February 7, 8:30am – 10:00am at The Denver Art Museum and features
Lindsey Housel of the Denver Art Museum whose job it is to create and engage people with art and ideas. In her Creative Mornings talk, she will consider “if there are characteristics and capabilities that both creative and rebellious people possess.” This should be interesting.
