Senior Staff Accountant


The Senior Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller.  This position will provide support in the daily, weekly, monthly and annual financial and accounting functions.  These functions include, but are not limited to transactional data entry, general ledger account reconciliations, assistance with financial statement preparation, and preparation of periodic required filings and support for accounting and financial projects as assigned. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.


Accounts Receivable 

  • Assistance in preparation of customer billing
  • Customer payment processing 
  • Preparation of individual client aging statements 
  • Maintenance of customer master files

Accounts Payable

  • Vendor bill entry and reconciliation
  • Vendor payment processing
  • Verifying and entering expense reports
  • Maintenance of vendor set-up and compliance 

Accounts Receivable

  • Manage the overall receivables process, including:
  • Preparation and delivery of monthly client invoices to account service
  • Communication of past due invoices to account service
  • Application of payment to invoices and subsequent deposit to the bank
  • Manage customer database within accounting software
  • Review of customer contracts. credit applications and nondisclosure agreements
  • Review of monthly sales tax reports

Fixed Assets  

  • Maintenance of Asset Keeper fixed asset software
  • Reconciliation of fixed asset reports to general ledger accounts 

Monthly Reconciliations 

  • Preparation of reconciliations as instructed and reviewed by Controller 


  • Periodic report generation as instructed 
  • Preparation of filings including 1099’s, personal property tax declarations schedules and sales & use tax returns
  • Managing positive pay daily
  • Back-up for ACH and Wire transfers
  • Assistance with the budgeting process
  • Administrative and operational support as needed


  • This role is based in Denver and will require in-office support 
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 5 Year’s work experience as a Staff Accountant
  • Good knowledge of basic GAAP accounting; experience reconciling general ledger accounts 
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Hands-on intermediate-level experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel  
  • Organizational skills, with an organized and methodical approach to a task 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Discretion with respect to sensitive information
  • The ability to work to strict time deadlines, proven time management skills 
  • The ability to prioritize work
