Media Director


The Media Director is responsible for developing and executing high-level media vision and strategies with the goal of achieving measurable results for clients across a variety of industries: travel and tourism, healthcare, higher education, banking, retail, and more. 

The Media Director will think strategically about the business, generate business–building ideas and innovative solutions, and ensure flawless execution for all client deliverables. 

The Media Director leads, manages, and mentors junior team members. They also will work closely with all agency team leads to drive the holistic business forward and foster growth, both organically and through new business.


Strategic Leadership

  • Participate in team planning sessions regarding client strategy and approach, providing leadership, consultation and acting as a voice for media
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, management, and analysis of full funnel omnichannel media strategies 
  • Lead strategic online and offline media planning, plan execution, and measurement for client campaigns 
  • Provide forward thinking ideas for clients, ensuring the team is incorporating creativity and innovation into media plan development
  • Uncover opportunities and grow business through thought leadership, client expertise, and consistent delivery of good work

Departmental Management & Leadership

  • Manage workflow, efficient and profitable servicing of client(s), staffing levels, healthy team structure, and team assignments
  • Facilitate the development and documentation of best practices to improve operational efficiencies within the team and the agency
  • Responsible for providing guidance, leadership, and mentorship to all media team members
  • Manages recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees
  • Promote positive working relationships within the department, the company, and the vendor community

Communication & Presence

  • Effectively present and sell media strategies and plans
  • Deliver impactful and persuasive presentations and pitches
  • Support Agency new business pitches and client growth efforts with innovative and effective media solutions

Data-Driven Performance & Innovation

  • Help set strategy for KPIs and campaign measurement to track performance
  • Excel at pulling actionable insights from data to inform audience selection and communication strategies 
  • Stay apprised of new technologies and trends and a keen understanding of the digital landscape to incorporate into media driven solutions and business-building ideas

Communication, Collaboration & Trust

  • Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business, their products/services and their audiences/customers
  • Oversee Agency-Client media budget management processes
  • Partner with Agency account service, project management, creative, production, and technology teams to deliver cohesive, strategic and effective presentations, plans, and ideas
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with clients, interagency partners, and vendors
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


  • This role is based in Denver and will be a hybrid in-person and remote work environment
  • Bachelor's degree and/or related experience
  • 10+ years of experience in the Advertising Industry, with 5+ years in a supervisory role
  • Experience in traditional offline media and an even deeper expertise in and passion for digital channels including programmatic, display, mobile, online video, CTV, paid social, PPC, and more
  • Experience with digital campaign management tools, including ad-serving, tracking, and dashboards
  • Experience with lead generation activities, content marketing, website analytics, and SEO is a plus
  • Inspiring leader with an ability to mobilize, supervise, and motivate diverse teams
  • Proven track record for results, ROI, and business impact
  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Resourceful, proactive, and team-oriented
  • Fiscally responsible and a disciplined steward of budgets
  • Understanding of and ability to adapt to the evolving digital, social and content marketing landscape
  • Some travel required for clients and new business, as needed 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
