Content Strategist

Karsh Hagan is looking for an experienced Content Strategist to lead holistic content planning, strategy development, analysis, management, and measurement. This role will take a strategic marketing approach to create and distribute valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive action and engagement. 

This role supports the strategy, account, and media teams in developing, executing, and managing effective communication campaigns. The Content Strategist will have external responsibilities to service our clients across all digital channels and internally contribute to new business requests and proposals. In addition to content strategy, the Content Strategist will be responsible for integrating social media strategy for assigned client campaigns. The Content Strategist will help produce and present analysis and help provide recommendations on findings and insights to key agency/client stakeholders.  


  • Lead content and social strategy, development, and implementation in collaboration with cross-functional agency teams
  • Outline and implement a content plan to manage campaign/content topics to support client launches and new business priorities 
  • Create content pillars and sub-pillars and ensure that content strategy meets business objectives. 
  • Recommend digital solutions that deliver on business goals 
  • Create style guides and standards to ensure content initiatives are consistent with brand voice and tone
  • Participate in client planning and goal setting and propose opportunities for content development and cross-channel campaign integrations
  • Produce and research content strategy and social best practices and recommend plans to increase agency scope 
  • Develop workflow and governance to identify who will be involved at every stage of content creation and what role they'll play - including both internal and external teams
  • Work with interactive team on customer journey maps, and website content strategy deliverables, including research to gain in-depth knowledge of all customer personas, consumer thoughts and trends, and creating content appropriate for the brand's customer personas in tandem with journey mapping and digital efforts 
  • Develop execution playbooks and editorial guideline creation so content is consistent across all delivery platforms
  • An understanding of SEO and how to position content for Search Engines
  • Provide input on dashboard/reporting and analyze content marketing strategy to evaluate against KPIs to provide recommendations for optimization


  • This role is based in Denver and will be a hybrid in-person and remote work environment
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Proven work experience as a senior-level Content Strategist or similar role
  • Experience overseeing content strategy and development for videos, infographics, social media content, email campaigns, blogs, landing pages and more
  • Strong technical understanding of social and CMS platforms
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to lead meetings and present recommendations to clients
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Aptitude for numerical data with strong quantitative analytical skills and the ability to translate findings into business insights
  • Ability to quickly identify and solve problems in a fast-paced changing environment 
  • Self-motivated personality with a desire to constantly improve
  • Superior client service and demonstrated ability to grow client relationships
  • Strong research skills and ability to translate research into a solid presentation

  • Business Strategist: Understands that clear business objectives are the key to driving success and knows how to work with clients to develop clear business cases around opportunities for engagement in social and digital media
  • Commander of Rooms: Enjoys presenting new ideas and is exceptional at communicating concepts/programs for clients and new business opportunities
  • Trend Spotter: Is one of the first people to identify the trends and technology shaping the future of media and can translate these into simple Points of View that make them relevant for clients and account/creative teams
  • Master of Execution: Knows that ideas mean nothing without solid execution and can work within a cross-functional team(s) to ensure results

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000
  • Unlimited PTO
